Missions

FCCI gives 13% of their weekly offering to Missions. These contributions are divided among 14 different mission organizations.

  • Local Missions
  • CUB – Citrus United Basket

      • They provide assistance to families and individuals in Citrus County who need assistance in various ways. FCCI also makes its Family Life Center available to CUB during the month of December for their annual Toys for Tots Toy Give Away.
  • Family Resource Center
    • ccfrc.org
      • They provide assistance to families and individuals in Citrus County who need food and clothing and other forms of assistance. FCCI participates in their Christmas toys for children program
  • Citrus Pregnancy Center

      • They assist women who are pregnant and do not choose to have an abortion.
  • Florida Missions
  • Family Ministries of Florida, Seffner, FL
    • familyministriesfl.org
      • This a children’s home that provides both a safe residence and quality Christian education.
  • Johnson University – Florida, Kissimmee, FL
    • johnsonu.edu/florida
      • A Christian University with campuses in both Tennessee and Florida.
      • One of their primary objectives is to train Christian ministers
  • North Florida Christian Camp, Keystone Heights, FL

      • The Camp has a year-round program for both youth and adults. They also rent their facilities to churches for retreats for both youth and adults.
  • Sunshine Christian Home, Holiday, FL

      • Sunshine is a retirement community with independent living duplexes and an assisted living home for older adults.
  • UF Campus House of Christian Campus Ministry, Gainesville, FL
    • ufcch.com
      • Bob and Celeste Gailey work with students at University of Florida and Santa Fe College who want to learn more about Christ. These students come from several foreign countries as well as the United States. The students also conduct a weekly outreach among the homeless population in Gainesville.

  • Christian Missionary Fellowship (Joe & Kim Cluff) Kenya, Africa

      • Joe & Kim have been working in Kenya since 1996, helping to establish new churches and training Kenyan leaders. Joe is the son of one of our “snowbirds” couples, Tom and Jeanette Cluff from Columbus, Ohio
  • IDES – International Emergency Disaster Services, Noblesville, IN
    • ides.org
      • IDES assists churches around the world to help their community deal with the after-effects of local disasters. All funds donated for specific disasters go directly to local congregations or missionaries to assist their community.
  • Pioneer Bible Translators (Jim & Joni Bliffen), Papua New Guinea

      • Jim & Joni provide administrative assistance to the missionaries who are translating the Bible into the native language of unreached people groups. Jim is the cousin of Pastor Tom Thomas
  • Sonlight Christian Mission, (Melio Jean), Gonaives, Haiti

      • Sonlight has a three-pronged mission of providing a place of worship and evangelism, a school (currently the first six grades), and a medical clinic. Melio Jean is a former student of Pastor Ray & Shirley Kelley
  • Students Int’l Micro/Finance – Dominican Republic

      • Works with members of churches in the Dominican to help them develop small businesses by using a Micro/Financing program. They also help in planting new churches and helping existing congregation to grow. Our Treasurer Marilyn Hild has worked with them on several short-term mission trips.
